Indications for use: The first carpometacarpal and/or metacarpophalangeal joints fixation. Injuries, sprains, luxations of the first carpometacarpal and/or metacarpophalangeal joints. Carpometacarpal joint of I finger laxity. Carpometacarpal joint of I finger (thumb joint) arthrosis, arthritis. Rehabilitation after operative measures on the first carpometacarpal and/or metacarpophalangeal joints. Prevention from repeated traumas of articular-ligamentous apparatus of the first carpometacarpal and/or metacarpophalangeal joints.

Wrist joint bandage (with I finger support) provides fixation of wrist joint and I finger in abduction position.

 

  • I finger abduction is possible with the help of  specially designed detachable metallic splint

Helpful tips:

Before use you should take out and curve a metallic splint so as the first metacarpophalangeal joint would be fixed in the correct position. To do these actions you can use your healthy hand.
To put the bandage on the hand, to adjust the tension on wrist and hand soft tissues with the help of strap and fix the length on the wrist with a fastener.
To fix the bandage on the thumb with Velcro-fastened strap.
If it is necessary you may put the stiffening rib (splint) out and use the bandage at the latest stages of rehabilitation.
